Ashley & Nick’s Engagement Session

Ashley and Nick’s first date was Nick’s High School Junior Prom (adorable, right?).  All these years later, they’re still going strong.  Last February, Nick proposed to Ashley with a dazzling ring.  They will be married in 3 short months in Gloucester, MA where Nick’s traditional, Italian, fishing family is from.

Although Gloucester in and of itself is beautiful and quite picturesque (especially for an engagement session), Ashley wanted something more dramatic; something different.  What more perfect place than Castle Hill on the Crane Estate in Ipswich?  It is quite possibly one of the most exquisite places I have ever seen in all of Massachusetts.  Just when you think you’ve seen all this place has to offer, you find another hidden nook with great architecture and another storybook view.  It was not only such a great place to shoot, but to visit on this warm, sunny day.  It certainly served Ashley’s wish for a dramatic setting!

I loved that we were able to capture not only some formal, traditional engagement shots, but some more relaxed, informal ones as well.  These two really came out of their shell towards the end of the shoot! 🙂  What a wonderful day; what a wonderful experience.  I wish you both nothing but the best.  Thank you for including me on such a special day in your lives.
