Torte di Venezia has been very busy not only baking, but growing the business, marketing and branding! I’ve been asked to continue to photograph all their special goodies along the way. There will definitely be more to come in the future as Torte’s website, blog and social media platforms are built and continually updated ;)
How adorable is this child’s jungle themed birthday cake and matching cupcakes?!
You may have seen one of these beautiful wedding cakes on my FaceBook page (https://www.facebook.com/#!/AngelaDeSimonePhotography) before ;)
In addition to amazing cakes and cupcakes, Torte offers small baked goods as well – very versatile!
And finally, owner, Karen, has a real affinity for the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Isn’t this cake amazing?! The detail of the cat laying on the tree limb, just like the movie, is truly awesome!

Baby Connor and I have history, although he doesn’t quite know it yet ;) I have photographed him as a newborn and then again with his mother, a few months later. So I guess when he grows up and sees all these photos, he’ll get it! I was also fortunate enough to photograph his christening at Saint John’s Church in Winthrop. What a beautiful church! The ceremony was followed by an outdoor celebration where all Connor’s friends and family gathered to celebrate the little guy ;)

Can I tell you how much I love, love, love this family AND this shoot?! I had photographed the Picariello kids at Christmas, so I was well aware of their cuteness, but what made this shoot so special is that I got to photograph them in their element this time. Rather than more of a posed, traditional family photo shoot, I like to think of these shots as more “lifestyle photography”. I got to visit with the kids at their house, they showed me their toys, they told me about all their “favorite” things, and I got to watch them interact with not only each other, but with their parents too.
It still amazes me the little personalities that children have at such young ages and the things they say! My favorite part of the day was when Bianca announced that they were taking pictures together, because “we are family!”. It was, seriously, one of the sweetest things I’ve ever heard! I was just as sad to leave them at the end of the shoot, as they were to see me go :( Hugs all around and promises to come back and play… I can’t wait ;)

Here’s a little summary of my day with the Green girls ;) Mom, Christine, reached out to set up a newborn shoot for her new baby girl, Sophia. I have photographed Sophia’s older sister, Madison, in the past, and let me tell you, she is really something! So I was looking forward to seeing her again, as well as meeting her new sister. As soon as I got there, Madison was very excited that she had a visitor. She wanted to show me her sister, as well as all her toys. Which, by the way, is completely adorable ;) She also decides that my name is, “Angel” and I am not only there to photograph her, but to be her playmate as well (cute overload!).
Madison is an exact replica of her mother and now that I’ve been formally introduced to Sophia, I can tell you that she is an exact replica of her father – too funny! Not only just as cute as her sister, Sophia is also a very well-behaved and good-natured baby. I can’t believe this little gal was born 6 months ago – time has really flown! I can only imagine once they are both a few years older what a trip they are both going to be as a combo ;) Take a look at a glimpse of our day and welcome this new little “princess” into the world.

I haven’t done a personal post for a few months, so I wanted to share some of the beautiful “nature” shots I took while on vacation in St. Martin!

I met with Melissa & Mark at a little park down the street from their house for their engagement shoot. There, we sat and talked about their wedding plans and Mark’s proposal. Not only was the park quaint and the perfect spot, but we had some surprise visitors (which I had been hoping for)! I was so pleased that it was a beautiful day, with perfect weather, for this cute couple. I can only hope that they have the same luck on their wedding day :)
